Trustees Approve Comal ISD’s 2021-22 Academic Calendar

Parents were quick to note on Facebook that the new academic calendar does not includes dates for high school graduation.
Comal ISD’s Board of Trustees approved the academic calendar for the district’s 2021-22 school year.
At their March 2 meeting, trustees reviewed two slightly different options presented by an Academic Calendar Committee as well as results of a parent survey in January before making their decision.
The calendar includes start-and-end dates for the school year, school holidays and breaks and other important dates.
The new school year begins on Aug. 24 and end May 26, 2022.
The calendar does not include dates for high school graduation.

- Thanksgiving Break – Nov. 22-26
- Winter Break – Dec. 20-31
- Mid-Winter Break – Feb. 18-21, 2022
- Spring Break – Mrch 14-18
