Two COVID-19 Deaths, 36 New Cases Reported in Comal County Tuesday

Comal County reported two more COVID-19 deaths and 36 new cases of the virus today.

A New Braunfels man in his 70s died Nov. 16 at a New Braunfels hospital, the county’s Public Health Department confirmed in a statement. A Spring Branch man in his 80s died Nov. 22 at a San Antonio hospital.

The total number of deceased is now 467.

The total number of cases reported since March 2020 is 20,213.

On Tuesday, Comal County hospitals reported caring for 12 COVID-19 patients. Of those, three are in intensive care and two are on ventilators. Approximately 100% of these patients are unvaccinated.

Some 60.03% of all county residents are fully vaccinated.

Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and older.
