USACE: Overlook Park Closes Wednesday for Maintenance

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will close Overlook Park on Wednesday for deferred maintenance.
Work scheduled to begin last week was postponed due to heavy rains of up to eight inches in the Canyon Lake area.
Work is expected to be completed in one day. Visitors can still access the dam on foot from the North Park Road entrance. However, parking there is limited.
USACE asks the public to stay on the dam only and avoid entering Overlook Park where heavy equipment will be in use.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding while this much-needed maintenance work is accomplished,” Canyon Lake Manager Javier Perez Ortiz said in an email.
