USACE Will Announce Plans for Reopening Canyon Lake on Wednesday

Overlook Park, a popular destination for both visitors and locals who like to walk across Canyon Dam for exercise, will reopen soon.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is expected to announce on Wednesday, May 6 plans to begin a phased reopening of its Canyon Lake boat ramps, parks and camping facilities.
Social distancing and other restrictions required by local, state and federal authorities — to include the Centers for Disease Control — will be in place.
USACE Public Affairs Specialist Clay Church, who works in the Fort Worth District, said recreationalists should review current guidance from the CDC by clicking HERE, and visit THIS WEB PAGE to check availability of Canyon Lake’s outdoor amenities.
