Vote Centers Approved for November Elections

Share
Voters registered in Comal County can now cast ballots on Election Day at any vote center in the county.

Comal County said last week the Texas Secretary of State’s Office has approved it for countywide vote centers.

Under the new program, registered Comal County voters can cast ballots on Election Day, Nov. 5, wherever they live or work.

Early voting runs from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1. Voter registration deadline is Oct. 7. Click here to see a list of early voting and Election Day polling places.

Vote Centers remove the requirement that voters cast Election Day ballots at the polling place designated for their voting precinct.

“This program still allows residents to vote at their neighborhood polling place, but also allows commuters and anyone with a busy schedule to vote wherever it is most convenient for them,” said Cynthia Jacqua, the county’s elections coordinator.

The program is county specific. Comal County residents cannot cast ballots elsewhere.

On the Nov. 10 ballot are 10 proposed constitutional amendments approved by the Texas legislature this spring. To review those, click here.

Some Comal County residents also will be voting in elections held by the City of Schertz, Emergency Services District No. 3, the Mammen Family Public Library and Green Valley Special Utility District.
