One of the most-scenic walkways in the world reopens Tuesday.
Walk the Dam Road again!
The service road atop Canyon Lake Dam service reopens at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and a crowd of happy walkers and sightseers is expected at the celebration, which ends at 8 p.m.
Jen Crownover, Comal County Commissioner Pct. 4 (Canyon Lake) promises a dam fine time and a chance to meet with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County, and all three Comal County chambers of commerce.
She spearheaded the Dam Community Alliance, which helped raise funds needed for safety modifications after the USACE padlocked the gate due to safety concerns on May 21, 2018.
