County Reports 34 New COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths Thursday

Comal County reported 34 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on its dashboard today.
Offices are closed for the holidays and the county did not issue an official statement. Its official dashboard updates at 6:30 a.m. daily.
According to today’s dashboard, there are now 20,839 cases in the county and the number of total deceased rose to 477.
Twelve COVID-positive patients are in county hospitals. No further information is available.
The percentage of fully vaccinated residents (two shots) is still 61.49%.
Texas’ molecular positivity rate on Wednesday was 14.58%.
Comal County’s Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up. Booster vaccines are available.
