WIC-on-Wheels Rolls into CRRC Dec. 15 with Monthly Food Packages

Representatives with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC, will distribute information and monthly food packages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the Community Resource and Recreation Center (CRRC) of Canyon Lake, 1917 FM 2673 (Sattler), Canyon Lake.

WIC is a nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding women and families with children younger than five.

The program offers classes, the chance to meet with other families, and one-on-one nutrition counseling for making smart choices and delicious family meals.

Breastfeeding support also is provided.
