The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Comal County from 9 a.m. Monday until noon Wednesday.
Hazardous driving conditions could impact morning and evening commutes as freezing rain moves into the area.
Freezing rain could begin as early as Monday morning. Icing will be possible mainly during the late night through mid-morning hours when temperatures will be coldest.
Total ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are possible.
Minor glazing of elevated surfaces could occur by the afternoon commute Monday.
Rounds of showers and storms are expected through Thursday.
Drivers are asked to slow down and use caution. Residents should prepare for possible power outages.
Hays, Bastrop, Lee and Caldwell counties also are included in the advisory.
