Two passengers in Vargas’ truck, a 19-year-old male from Waelder and a 25-year-old male from Weimar, were transported to level 1 trauma centers in the area, both in critical but stable condition.

Vargas was taken to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels where he was medically cleared after the crash.
