Republican Carrie Isaac, who is squaring off against former New Braunfels Mayor Carter Casteel for Texas House District 73 in the May 24 runoff election, makes another campaign stop in Canyon Lake Sunday.
Isaac will speak at 11 a.m. at Solomon’s Porch, Bunk Haus RV Park, 18501 FM 306, Canyon Lake. She appeared at a ‘Meet the Candidate’ forum at Bare Bull BBQ in Startzille March 25.
Solomon’s Porch is a church run by Steve Ceh, founder of the New Braunfels Trump train, which attracted national media attention by swarming the ‘Biden Bus’ with trucks and cars as it traveled from San Antonio to San Marcos for a campaign appearance in October 2020.
The group is a favorite of Canyon Lake-area Republicans. Kyle Biedermann, outgoing representative for District 73, spoke at a fundraiser for the Cehs in March 2021. Sen. Donna Campbell, Texas R-25, also spoke at a Trump Train rally in October 2020.
