Comal County commissioners Oct. 24 approved plans to issue certificates of obligation for $5 million worth of improvements to Canyon Lake’s Tye Preston Memorial Library (TPML).
The resolution includes funding to
- Acquire, design, construct, renovate, repair, upgrade, improve and expand the library
- Purchase materials, supplies, equipment, information technology, machinery, buildings, land, easements, and rights-of-way for authorized needs and purposes
- Pay for professional services related to the design, construction, project management and financing of the projects.
The library is owned by the county but maintained by the Canyon Lake Community Library District.
A public hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12.
