Two- and four-footed family members are invited to Canine Classmates’ Fall Carnival & Fair featuring a Blessing of the Dogs and costume contest for kids and dogs.
The fun runs from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 at Krause’s Cafe, 148 S. Castell Ave., New Braunfels.
Rev. Matthew Bloss of St. John’s Episcopal Church in New Braunfels will bless family pets at 2 p.m. The costume contest begins at 3 p.m.
The event is free. Food and beverages can be purchased at Krause’s.
Canine Classmates is a literacy-intervention program that pairs mentors and reading dogs with at-risk elementary students.
