Canyon Lake’s Dam Community Alliance (DCA), which partners with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on projects that improve parks around the lake, is asking the public to ’round up’ the sales total of purchases they make at Canyon Lake’s Ace Hardware.
DCA, spearheaded by Pct. 4 County Commissioner Jen Crownover, was selected by Ace Hardware for this quarter’s (January-March) fundraiser.
“We really admire this program, as they choose nonprofits in our own community to bless with the donations raised,” the community group posted on Facebook. “We are also very honored to have been chosen for this quarter.
“The DCA has several great projects on the horizon for our community, and every bit helps. So if it’s three cents or 79 cents to round up on your purchase, please say yes. It adds up into some very significant money, even a penny at a time.”
