The owners of Canyon Lake’s popular River Rose Tavern and Pier Sushi restaurants, located at the corner of FM 306 and FM 2673, say they will rebuild after an exterior electrical fire damaged the interiors of both restaurants Tuesday night.
River Rose sustained minimal damage, but Pier Sushi will require more extensive repairs.
The restaurant will need to be gutted and treated.
A moderator on Pier Sushi’s Facebook page described a “whirlwind of chaos, heartbreak, and a lot of unknowns ahead.
“We don’t know what the months ahead will look like, but we will rebuild better than ever.”
A GoFundMe set up for owners Eric and Jessica Hyatt raised almost $4,000 by Sunday.
The damage at the River Rose Tavern was not as extensive. Workers are cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing for repairs.
“We’re especially thankful to this amazing community for helping keep our employees working through it all,” River Road said on Facebook. “Your kindness reminds us that River Rose is more than a business–it’s a family.”
