Comal County commissioners will designate grant officials for three specialty courts and authorize grant officials under the Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program at their weekly meeting 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12 at the historic courthouse, 100 N. Seguin, New Braunfels.
Also up for approval on the weekly agenda is an interlocal cooperation agreement between Comal and Burnet counties for jail services for Comal County inmates.
Under the arrangement Comal would pay Burnet $85 per inmate per day for detention services.
County Sheriff Mark Reynolds also is asking commissioners to purchase 19 Motorola NEXT radios for the dispatch console system. The total cost for the console project is $767,310.
Commissioners will discuss and consider a supplemental bid for irrigation system repairs at Canyon Lake’s Hidden Valley Sports Park by Diamondback Landscaping & Lawncare, and a separate bid for irrigation system repair services at Jumbo Evans Sports Park in Spring Branch by Carter Irrigation Services.
