The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified a body found in the Guadalupe River June 2 as that of 59-year-old Juliet Elizabeth Watson, a former New Braunfels City council member reported missing from the Lincoln Street area May 26.
There currently are no signs of foul play, the New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) said in a statement today.
A final determination on the cause of death will be made by the medical examiner pending toxicology reports.
Watson’s body was discovered during one of several searches along the Comal and Guadalupe rivers.
Next of kin was notified.
Watson served on the New Braunfels City Council from 1996-2002.
