The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Canyon Lake and Central Texas until noon Thursday.
The watch area includes portions of south-central Texas north of a line from Carta Valley to Leon Springs to Giddings.
Impacts include very slippery overpasses, bridges and elevated walkways. Hazardous conditions could impact the evening or morning commute.
Light icing will be possible on elevated surfaces mainly tonight, but could begin this afternoon in the northern part of the advisory area.
Frozen participation is not expected in San Antonio but is possible in the northern part of Bexar County.
Drivers are asked to slow down and exercise caution while traveling. Residents should prepare for possible power outages.
