📣Park Update for July 10, 2025:

As we continue cleanup and recovery efforts from recent flooding, some areas of Guadalupe River State Park remain closed or restricted. Here’s the latest:

🚫 Day-Use River Access Remains Closed
Visitors may enjoy the picnic tables at the top of the staircase but please do not go down the stairs or into the lower area near the riverbank. We’re still waiting for the water to fully recede so we can properly assess damages and continue cleanup efforts.

⚠️ Active Recovery Work Is Ongoing
You may see our staff and partners hard at work as we continue recovery efforts throughout the park. Do not impede these efforts. Your caution and cooperation are appreciated.

✅ Phased Re-Openings Starting 07/10/2025:

-All trails and the Bauer Unit will be open to foot traffic only (no biking or equestrian access at this time). Please note we will have the Bauer Unit gate operational closer to 8:30 AM.
-The Wagon Ford Camping Loop will be open. Please observe all posted signage for safety. River access from the campground is not permitted at this time.
-The Discovery Center will be open and operating on its normal schedule.

We understand these changes may impact your visit, but safety of all is our top priority. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to restore safe access to the river.
