Celebrate Texas Independence Day with a professional fireworks display at the 2nd Annual Salute to Texas, 8 p.m. Sunday, March 2 in Canyon Lake.
Organizers say the best view for many residents might be from a neighbor’s balcony.
Fireworks will be set off on a hill above and behind Granny D’s restaurant, 14312 FM 306, on the north side of Canyon Lake.
As a point of reference, look for the Texas flag on the hill. Spectators will not be allowed on site.
Texas Independence Day celebrates the 1836 adoption of the state’s Declaration of Independence from Mexico, which led to the creation of the Republic of Texas.
