Canyon Lake Hawks Brett Harwell, an offensive lineman, and safety Helijah Johnson will play for 2023 Team Black at the 2023 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game on Jan. 7, 2023.
Kickoff is at 5 p.m. at the Alamodome. The All-Star game follows the All-Amerian Bowl, a national all-star game that begins at noon.
Team Black is coached by Stephen Basore from Brennan High School.
Eight other Comal ISD athletes will play on the 2023 Gold Team coached by David Saenze Jr. of Steele High School, the district said in a statement today.
Representing Canyon High School are wide receiver Xayvion Noland and defensive lineman Daniel Perez.
Defensive back Darion Brown, running back Shastin Golden and offensive lineman Carter Traynor will represent Davenport High School.
Playing for Smithson Valley are safety David De Hoyos, wide receiver T.J. Hunt Jr., and linebacker Gavin Woods.
