Comal County launched a new website, ComalCounty.gov, today to make it easier for residents, businesses and visitors to find the information they need about government services.

In a statement, county spokesperson Cary Zayas said the site replaces several former county urls and brings all departments onto one platform.

Visitors will find cleaner menus and enhanced search capabilities.

New site navigation makes it easier for users to connect with county offices on phones and tablets.

Information about recycling, boat ramps, road closures and weather warnings can be found by clicking on the red ‘Engineer’s Office’ tab on the landing page.

The county’s burn status features prominently at the top of the landing page, marked with a red circle.

The new ‘.gov’ domain also strengthens cybersecurity and prevents confusion with lookalike or unofficial websites, Zayas said.

“We are excited to offer our resients a new design in a safe and secure environment,” said Comal IT Director Lana Spiess. “The new .gov website represents our commitment to transparency, accessibility and public trust.”
