Comal County Reports 471 New COVID-19 Cases, One Death in Weekly Report

Comal County’s Public Health Department reported 471 new cases of COVID-19 and one death from Aug. 5. – Aug. 11.

Six people were hospitalized with the virus, county Public Information Officer Cary Zayas said.

The total number of cases reported in the county since March 2020 now stands at 34,717. The total number of deceased is now 565.

Some 62.20% of all residents are fully vaccinated (two shots).

Data for the percentage of fully vaccinated residents includes all residents ages six months and older.

Comal County Public Health Department is administering Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines. Booster vaccines are also available.
