Comal County Reports 20 New COVID-19 Cases Monday

Comal County added 20 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 30,425 since reporting began in March 2020.

No deaths were reported. The total number of deceased remains 540.

On Monday, local hospitals said they are caring for five COVID-positive patients. Of those, two are in intensive care and one is on a ventilator.

Fifty percent of hospitalized COVID-positive patients are unvaccinated. Not all of these patients are necessarily county residents.

The percentage of fully vaccinated residents is 63.86%

The Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up. Booster vaccines also are available.
