Comal County Reports 203 New COVID-19 Cases Monday, 41 Hospitalizations

Comal County reported 203 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the county’s total to 29,479 since March 2020.

The number of deceased remains 516.

On Monday, local hospitals reported caring for 41 COVID-positive patients. Of those, 10 are in intensive care and six are on ventilators. Not all of these patients are necessarily county residents.

Approximately 71% of patients hospitalized with the virus are vaccinated.

Some 63.28% of county residents are fully vaccinated.

County residents looking for COVID testing are asked to visit the Texas Division of Emergency Management website at meds.tdem.texas.gov.

The Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five and up. Booster vaccines also are available.
