Comal County Reports 205 New COVID-19 Cases Aug. 19-25

Comal County reported 205 new COVID-19 cases Aug. 19 – August 25.

The total number of cases reported is now 35,146, the county said in a statement Friday.

COVID-positive patients were hospitalized in Comal County over the seven-day data collection period. No new deaths were reported to the Public Health Department this week.

The total number of deceased remains 565.

The percentage of fully vaccinated residents (two shots) is 62.30%.

Data for the percentage of fully vaccinated residents in Comal County now includes all residents ages six months and older.

The Public Health Department is administering Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines. Booster vaccines are also available. Appointments can be made by calling 830.221.1150.
