Comal County Reports 27 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

Comal County reported 27 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the county’s total number of cases since March 2020 to 30,214.

The number of deceased remains 530.

Local hospitals are caring for 10 COVID-positive patients. Four are in intensive care and one is on a ventilator.

Approximately 67% of these patients are unvaccinated. Not all COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Comal County are necessarily county residents.

County residents who wish to be tested for COVID-19 are advised to visit the Texas Division of Emergency Management website for testing locations. The website is meds.tdem.texas.gov.

The Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up.
