Comal County Reports 36 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Comal County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total number confirmed since March 2020 to 30,354.

The number of deceased still stands at 537.

Local hospitals are caring for 10 COVID-19 patients. Of those, six are in intensive care. There are no COVID patient on ventilators.

Not all COVID-positive patients necessarily live in Comal County.

The percentage of fully vaccinated (two shots) people in the county is 63.84%.

To find a testing site for vaccines the county recommends visiting meds.tdem.texas.gov.

Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and older. Booster vaccines also are available.
