Comal County Reports 38 New COVID-19 Cases, One Death April 8-14

In its first weekly COVID-19 update, Comal County reported 38 new cases and one death for the seven business days between April 8 to April 14.

Four COVID-positive patients were hospitalized during the same period.

Public Health also confirmed the death of a New Braunfels man in his 70s passed away at home April 3.

The total number of cases reported in the county since March 2020 is 30,760. The total number of deaths is now 548.

Some 64.34% of county residents are fully vaccinated (two shots).

Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up. Booster vaccines also are available. To schedule an appointment call 830-221-1150.
