Comal County Reports One COVID Death, 391 New Cases

Comal County Thursday reported 391 new cases of COVID-19, one death and an average of six hospitalizations for the seven days between June 24-June 30.

County spokesperson Cary Zayas said 61.82% of residents are fully vaccinated (two shots). This percentage now includes all residents ages six months and older.

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in Comal County since March 2020 now stands at 32,522. The total number of deceased is 555.

On June 24 the county reported 253 new cases for the seven days between June 17-23, four hospitalizations and one new death.

Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up. Booster vaccines also are available.
