Comal County Reports One Death, 183 New COVID-19 Cases

In its weekly COVID-19 update Thursday Comal County today reported 183 new cases of the COVID-19 virus.

Another death also was reported to the Public Health Department, bringing the total number of deceased to 552.

Two COVID-positive patients were hospitalized in Comal County during the seven-day data-collection period between May 27-June 2, Public Information Officer Cary Zayas said.

The total number of cases reported in the county since March 2020 is now 31,423.

The percentage of fully vaccinated residents (two shots) is 65%.

Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and older. Booster vaccines also are available.
