Comal County released final numbers for early voting today.
Some 43.8% of 152,440 registered voters cast early ballots in the midterm election.
The county did not report whether mail-in ballots are included in those numbers.
By comparison, 38.1% of the county’s 130,109 registered voters cast early ballots in the 2022 midterms, and 59% of the county’s 143,985 registered voters cast early ballots in the 2024 presidential election.
“That’s more than 22,000 additional registered voters since 2022,” county spokesperson Cary Zayas said in a statement. “While this year’s early voting percentage didn’t surpass 2024 it was higher than the last midterm election in 2022.”
The county’s numbers may vary from Texas Secretary of State’s website, the official source of election information. The state does not always update information in real time.
That site today reported 151,987 registered voters in Comal, 6,557 in-person voters the last day of early voting, 66,868 cumulative in-person voters, 44% cumulative in-person voters, 3,150 cumulative by mail voters, 70,018 cumulative cumulative in-person and mail voters, and cumulative percent of early voting at 46.07%
All election results are unofficial until they are certified through a process called canvassing.
Comal County election results will be canvassed between Nov. 6-17.
