Comal County opened a temporary no-fee, drop-off site for residents who need to dispose of tree branches and brush in the aftermath this week’s freeze.

The county’s Recycling Center, 281 Resource Dr., New Braunfels, will accept drop-offs through Saturday, Feb. 11.

From Tuesday, Feb. 6 to Friday, Feb. 10 the City of New Braunfels will offer free curbside limb-and-branch removal by request.

This service is intended for residents who need help removing large branches/tree limbs due to ice accumulation. Those with smaller amounts of brush or branches are encouraged to use Green Waste bags and set them out curbside for regular Green Waste collection.

Requests for curbside branch removal must be made by 5 p.m. Friday for service to be free.

For more information about rules or to request curbside branch removal call the Solid Waste & Recycling Division at 830-221-4040.
