The Comal County District Clerk’s Office on Wednesday warned the public about scammers who are calling residents claiming that money is owed on a criminal charge and must be paid to avoid arrest.
The public is asked not to make any payments to the callers.
County spokesperson Cary Zayas said caller ID may show the call as originating from the district clerk’s office.
