The Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County’s (WORD) Run. Party. Float. Series continues 8 a.m. Saturday, July 11, with the Comal Park 5K/10K.
The free race includes a scenic run, a “laid-back summer party,” and a full day at the lake.
Runners will take on a fun loop course inside Comal Park. The trail is a mix of paved road and packed gravel.
Park admission is $5/vehicle with Comal County registration stickers and $20/vehicle without local stickers.
Shirts are $20.
The 5K/10K races begin at 8 a.m. A kids’ run starts at 9 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 9:10 a.m.
The top three overall male/female runners will receive awards.
