Comal County Pct. 4 Commissioner Jen Crownover, who represents Canyon Lake on Commissioners Court, was named first vice president of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas (CJCAT) at the group’s 100th annual meeting in Cedar Park this week.

“It’s truly an honor serving on this board with incredible leaders from across the great state of Texas,” she posted on Facebook.

Crownover said the conference focuses on county roads, interlocal agreements, financial accounting, the juvenile justice system, risk management and personnel policy.

“I’m bringing everything I learn right back to my precinct, and Comal County as a whole,” she said.

CJCAT promotes the interests of county government through continuing education and active participation in governmental affairs. There are 254 counties in Texas.
