The Canyon Lake Noon Lions Club’s Spring Shrimpfest moves back inside this year — but you can still pick up a meal of fresh Gulf shrimp in the drive-thru lane from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 14 at the CRRC Rec Center, 125 Mabel Jones Dr.

“Guests liked the drive-thru and so did the Lions, but we heard from many guests that they preferred to eat-in so they could catch up with neighbors and friends over a delicious meal,” said Diane Schaule.

To buy advance tickets call Kristy Huff at 806-420-4824. Raffle tickets also can be purchased from Lions who volunteer to sit outside Lowe’s and Ace Hardware.

Tickets are $14 each. Meal and raffle tickets also will be available at the door. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

The event sells out early — so don’t be late, Schaule warns.

The menu includes fresh-boiled Gulf shrimp, baked potato salad, coleslaw, cocktail and tartar sauce, and desserts (inside only).

Raffle prizes include a $250 Brookshire Brothers gift card, a $250 Lowe’s Market gift card, a $250 Visa gift card, and $250 worth of lottery scratch-offs.
