Early Voting for Primary Runoff Elections Begins Monday

Early voting begins Monday, May 20, for the May 28 Republican and Democratic Primary Runoff elections and ends Friday, May 24.

Canyon Lake voters will decide whether Republicans Joyce Yannuzzi or Doug Leecock should replace incumbent Precinct 1 Commissioner Donna Eccleston for a seat on the Comal County Commissioners Court.

Candidates for the Texas State Board of Education, District 10, and Texas Justice, 3rd Court of Appeals, Place 2 are also on the ballot.

Republican Mary Bone faces Republican Tom Maynard in the race for a seat on the education board, and Democrat Maggie Ellis faces Democrat Edward Smith for the seat on the appeals court.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at these locations:

  • Comal County Offices Bulverde Annex JP #2 Courtroom, 30470 Cougar Bend, Bulverde
  • Comal County Offices, Goodwin Annex, 1297 Church Hill Drive, New Braunfels
  • St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church Small Room, 121 Spring Mountain Dr., Canyon Lake

Hours for Garden Ridge City Hall Municipal Court Room, 9400 Municipal Parkway, Garden Ridge are

  • 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, May 20, Wednesday, May 22 and Friday, May 24
  • 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 23
