The Sixth Annual Alzheimer’s Symposium runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at McKenna Events Center, 801 West San Antonio St., New Braunfels.
EdenHill Communities says the symposium offers a unique opportunity to connect with speakers and local experts in aging services.
Attendees will gain valuable insight and resources to support individuals and their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and other dementing illnesses, the company said in a flyer.
Speakers and presenters include the Rev. Carla Cheatham, pastor of Faith United Church and founder of the Carla Cheatham Consulting Group, which trains caregivers working in all fields; Flourish Research San Antonio; Select Rehabilitation; and the New Braunfels Police Department.
Question-and-answer sessions follow each presentation.
Vendors will provide information about products and services for Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
Tickets are $10. The event includes coffee, pastries, and lunch.
