Comal County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jen Crownover, who spearheads the DCA, said the show will be moved closer to the lake since Canyon Lake is at conservation level.

Visitors can park at North Park. Shuttles will be available for anyone who needs assistance.

Although Sunday’s weather forecast calls for a high of 70 degrees, the event will still be located in a very shaded part of North Park.

In addition to the car show, DCA plans a Shoe Box Car Show for kids. Children can decorate shoe boxes as vehicles to earn free admission for adults.

Returning this year is the wildly popular Tire Change Drag Race competition. Hoop booths will open for family friendly fun.

Canyon Lake Fire/EMS will serve barbecue. Fresh lemonade and homemade desserts will be available for sale.

DCA partners with stakeholders like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to fund projects that benefit Canyon Lake parks and provide scholarships for seniors at Canyon Lake High School.

Past projects include reopening pedestrian access to Canyon Lake dam’s service road, building shade structures at North Park, and building a stage trailer for local events and rentals.
