A former Canyon Lake High School (CLHS) teacher who resigned in January after an investigation revealed he allegedly had “inappropriate communication” with a 15-year-old student turned himself in today on a warrant issued by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) for an improper relationship between educator/student.

Orlando Naumann, 38, of San Antonio, also faces a second, unrelated charge, of possession with intent to promote child pornography.

He was booked into Comal County jail on both second-degree felony charges. Bond has not been set.

Naumann taught German and physical education and also coached soccer.

Another CLHS teacher, Devon Hopper, 38, was charged with an improper relationship between an educator/student on Nov. 18, 2022.

Former Canyon High School teacher Emily Marie Anderson, 35, pleaded guilty in district court on Dec. 19, 2022, to all charges of having sex in a closet with a 15-year-old student.
