Girl Scouts Donate $6,000 Worth of Cookies to CRRC’s Food Pantry

These "sweet surprises" will end up in essential groceries of CRRC's Food Pantry clients.

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas donated $5,000 worth of cookies to CRRC of Canyon Lake’s Food Pantry, a “sweet surprise for our community.”

The collaboration between the two nonprofits began during training at the San Antonio Area Foundation, where CRRC Executive Director Tiffany Quiring met Stephanie Finleon Cortez, the Girl Scouts’ chief Development and Communications coordinator.

During cookie season, customers can purchase cookies to donate through the Girl Scouts’ Gift of Caring program. Once the season ends, all donated cookies are distributed to groups like the CRRC.

“We’re so grateful for this partnership and for the kindness of every customer who contributed to the Gift of Caring,” CRRC said on social media. “Thanks for spreading joy one cookie at a time.”
