K-9 Sophie Sniffs out 360 Pounds of Pot During Traffic Stop at Creekside

New Braunfels Police Department’s (NBPD) K-9 Sophie alerted officers to 360 pounds of marijuana in a Chevy Silverado pickup during a traffic stop in the Creekside shopping area early Thursday morning, resulting in the arrest of a Laredo man.

The driver, 39-year-old Manuel Roy Martinez, was taken into custody and transported to Comal County Jail where he remains as of Friday.

He faces a second-degree felony charge of delivery of marijuana. Bond is set at $50,000.
