Lone Star Light Show Flips the Switch Friday in Canyon Park

Canyon Park on the north shore of Canyon Lake is about to get very merry and bright.

Just ask the elves who are stringing lights today.

Veteran-owned-and-operated Lone Star Light Show opens Friday and runs through through Dec. 31.

It’s the first synchronized drive-thru Christmas light show in Canyon Lake.

Thousands of Christmas lights will move and blink in musical synchronization with individual car radios, according to organizers U.S. Army Infantry Veteran Trey Eichenberg and his brother D.J. Eichenberg.

Features include seven interactive light tunnels, an LED nativity display, thousands of light strands, hundreds of thousands of lights and a 40-foot-high mega tree.

Sissy’s Food Truck will serve hot chocolate and cookies.

Boat Ramp #18 will remain open but hours have been changed to accommodate the light show. Entrance gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. only. All boats must be off the water and out of the park by 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The Eichenbers will be donate a portion of the proceeds from their show to the CRRC of Canyon Lake.

Lone Star Light Show hours are 5:30-10:30 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 5:30-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Admission is $30 for one standard vehicle Friday-Sunday night, $25 for one standard vehicle Sunday-Thursday, and $50 for premium vehicle admission Friday-Sunday night.

Weekday limo vehicle admission is $45 Monday-Thursday.

  1. The Loan Star Light Show was just amazing. Everything is set to music. One of the best drive through light shows. Our family drive through it a few times. So much to see. I give it 5 out of 5 Stars. A must see event. Looking forward to watching it grow in popularity and size over the next few years.
