Nov. 1 marks the end of summer season for the Canyon Lake parks operated by the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) which means Boat Ramp #18 at Canyon Park and boat ramps #3 and #4 in Comal Park will go offline as well.

Comal and Canyon parks will transition to their off-season closure and reopen March 2027.

Boat Ramp #10 at Cranes Mill Park will remain open for the time being, WORD Communications and Events Coordinator Alexis Runnels said.

WORD allowed Boat Ramp #18 to remain open last year due to historic drought that closed most Canyon Lake boat ramps.

All other Canyon Lake boat ramps operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Comal County, Joint Base San Antonio and Canyon Lake Marina remain open to the public.
