Marilyn Bush said unforeseen circumstances beyond her control are the reason for the closure.

Marilyn Bush will close Canyon Lake favorite Mrs. Bush’s Pie Company Oct. 1 after 18 years at the same location, 14325 FM 306 — but said she’s not going out of business.

“Unforeseen circumstances” are the reason for the reorganization, she said.

Beginning July 1, the storefront location will only be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays until Oct. 1. Lunch wagon and mobile bakery service will continue on Wednesdays.

After October, Bush will still maintain her bakery and pie-shop services through the company’s lunch wagon/mobile bakery from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Orders and delivery will be available on from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“Our mobile bakery delivers our wonderful, homemade desserts and savory foods to your business or home,” she said. “Words cannot express my deepest gratitude and happiness to have served you all these years. I am honored to be a part of this community. We look forward to continually serving you call.”
