New Braunfels Announces Locations of New COVID-19 Testing Sites

The City of New Braunfels today announced several COVID-19 testing sites for January-February.

The Tree of Life Church, 5513 I-35, New Braunfels, is opening its parking lot to several providers.

Next Monday, Jan. 31 and Tuesday, Feb. 2, the church will open its large parking area to New Braunfels ISD and Guadalupe County the city for testing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Today, Jan. 27 then from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, Oak Hill Pharmacy will operate a drive-thru clinic indefinitely from its Health IV Van.

“I’ve spoken with Oak Hill Pharmacy and they are willing to continue to do it as long as there’s a need,” said Tree of Life Executive Pastor Eric Gonzalez.

St. Jude’s Laboratories will provide testing on Wednesdays at the church’s parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Facebook, New Braunfels ISD will host drive-thru testing events from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 and Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Tree of Life.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 Guadalupe County will team up with the Texas Department of State Health Services for a ‘walk-in’ free COVID-19 shot clinic at NBISD’s Academy Street Gym, 407 W. Mill St.

No pre-registration, symptoms or appointments are required at these testing locations. All services provided are first-come, first-serve.
