A New Braunfels daycare filed a police report this week after someone sprayed the N-word on a sign in front of the facility.

A spokesperson for Kiddie Academy, 672 S Kowald Ln., thanked the public for its support in condemning the incident and said staff looks forward to getting back to business and promoting an environment of compassion, inclusivity and equity at the school.

“Every dark cloud has a silver lining and we would like to thank our friends and neighbors for the outpouring of condolences and support we have received for being the target of such disdainful graphic comments,” Nicole Salla said.

The vandalism occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday.

Kiddie Academy is part of a franchise caring for children ages six months to six years (kindergartners).

Last year it was a Bronze Star Party Sponsor of New Braunfels’ Weihnachtsmarkt, the largest fundraiser for the Sophienburg Museum & Archives.
