You don’t need alcohol to enjoy a date night in the New Braunfels area.
Around 129 followers of the 116,300-member Everything New Braunfels Texas Facebook page weighed in Sept. 14 after a follower asked for “date night ideas for tonight for people who don’t really drink.”
Moderators describe the page as a “central location for local New Braunfels businesses, bars, boutiques, musicians and restaurants to post and promote their gigs and specials.”
Places their followers promoted instead for teetotalers include:
- The Redbird Listening Room, a songwriters’ venue located at 1260 S. Business IH 35, New Braunfels
- Texas Axe & Ale, a veteran owned-and-operated axe-throwing venue and bar which also offers arcade games and food trucks, 7049 FM 1044, Marion
- Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater, where “you can build your own dinnertainment experience,” 6700 N I 35, New Braunfels
