A New Braunfels man pleaded guilty to indecency with a child and sexual performance by a child Wednesday and was sentenced to 50 years in prison by 406th District Court Judge Stephanie Bascon.

In a statement, the Comal County Criminal District Attorney’s Office said the mother of the victim found images and videos of child pornography on the cellphone of Noah Noel Sanchez, 33, last year. Included were pictures and videos of her young daughter.

The mother used her cellphone to capture the images and videos from Sanchez’s cellphone and turned them over to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), which launched an investigation on Oct. 29, 2022.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Sanchez’s devices and performed a forensic analysis. Images of children ranging from toddlers to early teens that were indicative of child sexual-assault material also were discovered, including videos of Sanchez engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with the young child.

Sanchez’s charges were enhanced to first-degree felonies based on his prior criminal history.
